Garo Sero Threatens Kim Soo Hyun after Press Conference: Will Release High School-Era Video
On March 31, Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, alongside his legal representative, attorney Kim Jong Bok from LKB & Partners, to personally address the allegations surrounding his past with Kim Sae Ron.
During the event, Kim firmly stated, “I did not date her while she was a minor,” and “The claims that the deceased was driven to tragedy due to pressure from me or my agency are simply not true.”
However, shortly after the press conference was streamed live, YouTube channel Garo Sero, who previously unveiled various footage against Kim Soo Hyun, left a comment saying, “Tonight, we’ll release a video of Kim Sae Ron at home with Kim Soo Hyun when she was in high school.”
The comment, which directly countered Kim Soo Hyun’s claims of no underage dating, drew immediate attention. Netizens who have seen the comments have since expressed their distrust, saying, “Kim Soo Hyun is digging himself into a hole”, “There are so much evidence I wonder what’s the point of Kim Soo Hyun’s denial”, and “is it that hard to just admit to his wrong-doings?”, and “It’s smart to release the evidence one by one like this and back Kim Soo Hyun into a corner”.
Additionally, prior to the press conference, Garo Sero had also posted a photo of Kim Soo Hyun eating at a table and ominously wrote, “You remember exactly what scene this video is from, don’t you?, before further warning, “You’ve tormented Kim Sae Ron’s family enough. We won’t allow it any longer. You’re destined for hell, but before you fall deeper, offer a sincere public apology now.”
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team filed a criminal complaint that day against Kim Sae Ron’s family members, her aunt, and Gaseyeon’s operator, accusing them of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act. They also revealed they had submitted a civil lawsuit seeking 12 billion KRW (approx. $9 million USD) in damages.
